Is making a list impolite? I remember once when I was younger (though probably not young enough), I went through a catalog and wrote down everything I thought I might want. Yikes. I think I might be growing out of those gimmes a little bit.
So, I'll really try to keep this fairly simple:
1- A map of Russia to hang on the wall with my paper chain.
2- A pocket-size hymn book so I can sing in English while in Russia.
3- Walking shoes with good traction for icy sidewalks
4- A new pillow. Mine's pretty flat
5- Good renditions of Handel’s Messiah and The Nutcracker
6- A decent (but not overly expensive) set of makeup brushes and small cosmetic case for storage
7- Good quality laptop case for my 13 inch Macbook
8- An iPod “sock”- just simple ribbing. No embroidery required
I love:
Dancing
Attending shows and events, and traveling to new and famous places
Playing the Piano
Dressing in cute clothes. I don’t have very specific places to shop except Elisa’s cast-offs and Mom’s sewing factory
Visual stimulation: magazines, books, posters, calendars, pictures, blogs, etc.
Obviously dance has been my first love for a while now. I continue to work to develop that. I’m also looking into other activities and hobbies I might enjoy. I’ve always wanted to learn Jon Schmidt’s “Waterfall.” I want to study American Sign Language again. Too bad that doesn’t count as my foreign language credit. Someday I’d like to learn to play tennis. A little more of a stretch is to learn the violin as well.
Mainly I’m looking for ways to appreciate and experience life now. “Enjoy the journey,” you know?

you mean BYU-I doesn't count ASL as a foreign language? or do you have to take a higher level? Does math count as a foreign language? BYU had an advanced math, language, or logic credit so calculus counted as the "language".
I didn't know it was a serious possibility to use ASL as foreign language. I think I'll have to ask more questions. The requirements between BYU and BYU-I are probably a little different.
