Well, it's not Christmas Eve yet, so I guess it isn't actually late. Besides that, it isn't even Thanksgiving yet!
Dear Santa,
Thank you for the gifts you gave me last year. I have enjoyed them.
I have been good this year. I took quite a few trips to my family, which was fun. I hope you had a good time as well.
Well, Santa, you know I can't write without telling you a few things I'd like to have for Christmas, and it's okay if you delegate some of these things to my parents and your elves. The old standby, chocolate, still works, but I'm not really a fan of dark chocolate, raisins in my sweets, or most nuts. I'm okay with peanuts or cashews, but almonds are only acceptable in the nummy blue-wrappered Symphony bars with toffee in them. No walnuts, pecans, or macadamia nuts. I love reading, especially Jane Austen's novels. I have read Pride and Prejudice, Emma, and Mansfield Park and enjoyed them all, but Pride and Prejudice was definitely my favorite. I still like to play chess, but we are still lacking a chess set (and possibly someone to play with, but if I had a set, I could teach my nieces and nephews). It doesn't have to be big.
Thanks again, Santa! I'll put out a few cookies for you with a glass of milk on Christmas Eve.
Happy Holidays!
Rachel
