Entertainment baby!

Although I have been thinking about it, I have been putting off posting because of the pressures I have been under this semester. As I am graduating this coming May, I have been extensively working on graduate school options and preparing for the GRE. Friday, November 6, I endured the grueling four hours and fared much better than expected. With that major stress removed from my life, I have a little more breathing room for now.

Christmas

I love reading. I really enjoyed reading East of Eden, The Life of Pi, Built to Last, The Chosen, Asher's Gift, What is the What, Julius Caesar, and Flowers for Algernon this last year.

I'm trying to enlarge my Shakespeare Library. Right now, I only have Julius Caesar. I prefer having the Folger Shakespeare Library editions of Shakespeare, but would appreciate any plays. Books I do not own but are on my reading is are The World is Flat by Friedman, The Anatomy of Peace by the Arbinger Institute, Good to Great and How the Mighty Fall by Jim Collins, and the Ender's Game series by Orson Scott Card. I like books that have happy or sad endings. I really like books that illustrate the realities of life and the dilemmas humankind face.

iTunes gift cards are handy to improve by iPod's music selection. I really like classical guitar arrangments. I do like Yo-Yo Ma. Composers I'm like currently are Pachelbel, Wagner, and Vivaldi. I also like Weezer.

My last entertainment section is movies. I like Carey Grant, Audrey Hepburn, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Denzel Washington, Christian Bale, and Hugh Jackman. I have only seen Doris Day in The Glass-Bottom Boat, and really liked it.

Books, music, and movies are great gifts. I like to be well read, nice music, and great movies. I haven't really explored other hobbies recently because of the demands of school and work. Brenna and I are happy for the blessings we have and look forward to the day when we will have our own house where we can decorate and personalize with great home decor. But for now, life is good.
