David, Jaclyn, Austin, Jackson, Adam

Here are a few Christmas ideas:

Family Ideas:
* POPM--We like to have themed dinner and movie nights. For example, in the past we had beef noodle soup and watched Kung Fu Panda (because Po's Dad runs a noodle shop) or we watched Lady and the Tramp and had spaghetti and meatballs. Once we even had a Willy Wonka Night with loads of candy and watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. That was a lot of fun but a little too much sugar. ;)
* Games: Disney Pictionary or Apples to Apples Expansion Pack (or this one) [The apples to apples expansions packs seem to be pretty expensive on Amazon though. We think we saw them for a better deal at Target.]
* Gift Cards for Dinner--Its always nice to not to have to cook dinner. Some places close by are Zupas, In-N-Out, Wingers, Subway, and McDonalds. We can find dairy-free foods at these places (Adam and Jackson don't do well when Jaclyn has any dairy in her diet. The doctor said this may take six months to resolve itself..)

Individual Ideas:
*Austin always loves books and he is starting to read. Ideas: The Witches by Road Dahl for us to read as a family with him.

As far as what we do: Jaclyn, Jackson, Adam, and I spend a lot of time taking care of each other. Jaclyn works a little from home now as time allows and tries to get a few things done around the house. Austin likes to help out too. When I come home from work, I take care of the boys or make dinner or help Austin. We liked to read books, but we haven't read as much lately (We are trying to read Inferno by Dan Brown but it is slow going and we'll have to return it to the library unfinished most likely) as I don't stay awake very easily or our hands are full so we usually watch something on Hulu.

Really we just try to keep things simple right now. We're all kind of running on autopilot most days (at least Jaclyn and I are) and since we don't/can't leave the house much we kind of stick to basics.

What is POPM?

It actually should be PPOM, David wrote it incorrectly but the way we pronounce it so its not a big deal. It's something Laska and I started years ago and stands for "Pizza, Popcorn, and old movie" thus PPOM. But it has since become a themed movie night like the examples David listed in his post.
